269 N Main St., Bishop, CA
Following five months of honing leadership skills under the guidance of Eastern Sierra leadership coach, JaRae Birkeland of Maitri Leadership, our first graduating class of 26 leaders from across the region graduated in a ceremony January 6th.
Many thanks to local media outlets Eastern Sierra Now and Sierra Wave Media for attending the graduation and shining a light on these esteemed graduates, and bringing attention to the resources offered by the BRC. We also extend thanks to local leaders, Jeff Gabriel (Exec Director, Sierra Forever) and Jose Garcia (Bishop City Council) for participating in a panel discussion and the graduation ceremony, highlighting our mission to further grow connections within the Eastern Sierra business, entrepreneurial, non-profit, and government ecosystems.
Stay tuned for details on further leadership training opportunities at the BRC, thanks to our partnership with ESCOG and funding support through Sierra Jobs First, the regional collaborative of California Jobs First, a state initiative to create a community-led, climate-forward, and equitable economic future for all Californians.
